I just want to connect it to a live or ignition switch, whatever is better, and then the switch to control some chavy LED's, I'm just not sure what wire goes where Laughing

Hope the pic helps, if not I can take some.

Thanks.

Its actually a better idea to switch the -ve. So you would run the earth to the switch then to the lights and the +ve straight to the lights via a fuse

Just so thats clear the earth goes through the switch to the lights, this way less current goes through the switch. Same way you disconnect a -ve on a battery terminal first, its the best way to do it but can be done both ways.
Have a nice day!

I would run and fuse a fresh live from the battery. Only takes an extra 10 minutes.

Totally agree about the fresh +ve but a really good idea is to run a heavyish cable through the bulkhead and start an accessory fusebox. Its really handy for adding stuff in the future and a total doddle to do.

I would suggest always running the fused positive feed to the switch and then the switch to the load, and the load to earth.
If you have a problem with the accessory, you can always isolate it with the switch.

That has an led bulb in end off switch so you will want positive on switch for it to work the led on the end, also needs the pin that comes off the side connecting to earth to make the light in the end light up Wink

The same current goes through the switch regardless of how it's wired. You need a relay if you want less current through the switch.

Why would you want to use such a big daft switch for something like LED's anyway?
