Hi my aircon dosent work at all nothing happens when i push the button in the idle dosent drop ,the pulley is not seized
I dont want to fork out for a re gas incase that dont fix it any ideas
Also is it worth taking of and putting a smaller belt on would there be much power gain or is best just left

If you take it to a company which does air con, they can service they system and tell you why it doesn't work. Most of the time it's because it's run out of gas. So when you push the button nothing happens to stop the compressor from breaking

There's no gain to physically removing components because the compressor has a clutch.
Also, as above, get it checked out. Re-gassing air con should be done regularly anyway, and the fault could be something as simple as a blown fuse.

The compressor clutch won't kick in if there is lack of gas because the pressure sensors on the system won't let it damage the compressor, regas it jobs a goodun, unless there's a leak but you can have it checked as said above
