Today I went to start the car and didn't hear the fuel pump priming. The car didn't start. I used the hand pump to prime the fuel and the car started no problem and it ran fine after that. Any suggestions why the fuel pump might not be working. I checked the fuse and it was alright

A new lift pump shouldnt be too much from a motorfactors. They can supply a recon one for a reasonable price. There will be a surcharge one your old one.

There may not be a live going to the fuel pump, or the pump may have a bad earth. I myself, would check the wiring for breakages or anything. If all okay, I'd buy a new pump.
