hi all new to this so bear with got a gti 2000 with digital climate control the blower comes on and goes off when ever it likes (when its not in auto) and really starting to p**s me off read lots of forums but none with this problem i striped it out to day. the blower as two block connectors one with two pins and one with i think 5 pins.
now when the fan desides it wants to work the two pin plug has a live and a earth if i turn down the fan speed the earth gets weaker.
when the fan does'not work there's no earth and if i put one to it the fan works only on full speed does this meen the resistor is in the earth side i have checked all of the earths on the car.
and i cant find the resistor is it built in the fan unit ie the 5 pin plug
many thanks dave
