Pick up a cheap set off alloys off eBay first off. Just remember it will cost u about an extra £50 if you tell your insurance.

Cheers Walton, was thinking of leaving the wheels for now as dont really want to pay the extra insurance atm to upgrade to the alloys and my hubs are already a bit tatty but bound to get scratched up anyway as im covering a fair amount of poor road surface atm. In the long term hoping to get some alloys and maybe upgrade the tyre size

Anything you do to it is classed as a modification really, so if you do tell your insurence company about anything you do it will more than likely hike up your premium.

What the question you should be asking is 'Will i own this car long?' If the answer is no then dont mod it as you just loose money, if the answer is yes then have a read through project threads as they will help you picture parts on your car

Not all the time. My FMIC, Alloys and every other mod add £0. Phone up you'd insurers, ask them what WOULD happen if you were to add Alloys/Spoiler/Peugeot Sports bumpers.

Adrian flux is good! I have cover for loosing my keys, legal cover, courtesy car, protected no claims and breakdown cover with all mods declared for under £500 for the year!
Before I was with direct line and I had only a no claims discount and was paying the same
