Evening guys,
After having my clutch replaced last month I'm now being troubled by something else.
I'll try and explain as best I can.
So the last few days I'm noticed my car has started what can only be described as hiccuping, where the power drops off momentarily almost as if it is about to stall.
This happens at around half throttle (30mph in 3, 50mph in 5th) It also nearly stalls when idling but this isn't so consistent and happens less regularly.
I had it serviced a couple of weeks ago by a friends brother, who is a mechanic. Its ran perfectly smooth until 2 days ago, and I can't help but feel the issue is getting worse.
Has anyone else experience such and issue, and could maybe advise me what it could be?

Try cleaning the idle control valve

That was one thing that did cross my mind, I had an issue with such a valve on my old vauxhall corsa, where about in the engine bay is it located, and what is best to clean it with, as I just replaced the valve on my corsa.

Does this engine have an idle control valve? Most didn't.
Also the fact the engine plays up when the car isn't idling suggests it's not the ICV!

I'm not sure if it does, mine is a 1.6 16V Preplex if thats any help? Could it be the coilpack?

NGK at a better guess 
Ask what plugs he used. If they were NGK tell him to change them for Bosch.

Most mechanics will fit NGK plugs to everything as they want to collect the ends of the boxes the plugs come in for there rewards out the catalogue

As above I would say change spark plugs to OE Peugeot Bosch and check Coil Pack. If an older model the Sagem coil pack may have given up the ghost.

Little chance of you breaking down providing the problem is hesitancy. Car will just be down on power and be juddery.

I've spoke to the mechanic who serviced the car and he has told me he fitted Bosch FR8SC+ spark plugs so the issue cannot lie with them, he has however advised me to check the coil pack and ignition leads.
