The centre section pulls out first then the whole clip comes out

Edit: when i pulled mine out from the wheel arch they had gone so stiff i had to nacker them pulling them out with pliers so bought some new ones to put back in

A small flat headed screwdriver underneath the centre section usually works

Small pair of wire cutters to get under the lip of the centre pin - then lever (don't cut the top off!!)

i do it this way with a pair of scissors, always works great!
