Is there any way to deactivate the light without a fix because its irritating me?
I've come from a car with just front airbags so I don't really care if the side ones don't work. |
Just fix the fault
You will care very soon as its an automatic mot failure from 2012 to have an airbag warning light on
You insurance company wont be very impressed if you start tampering with the safety equipment either.

Fair enough
What is an average cost for a fix of this nature.
If there is an average?

If you have checked / cleaned the 4 seat airbag connector plugs then the next step is it needs a scan of the srs system for fault codes to see why the light is on.

I pulled the red and green connectors out and put them back in under the seat and the side airbags light went away

Easy fix
Now you have 4 working airbags instead of just 2

I can't believe how simple a fix that was, well pleased I don't have the irritating warning light anymore.
There is also a white connector plug under drivers seat with no socket to plug into plus a spare socket under each front seat neither of which is correct shape for the spare plug.

The white plug is for the seatbelt warning light.
You need to fit the seatbelt buckle with sensor to get that working & possibly the bulb in the instrument cluster to.
What colour are the spare sockets?

Will be brown - heated seats, not in UK spec.
