So after saving my car again for another couple of months my windscreen wipers die, after checking the fuses and replacing the wiper motor they still fail to work took car to 2 mechanics and a car electrician and none of them could work out what was wrong after testing everything. so iv took the plunge and got it booked into my local dealer for half 8 tomorrow morning, I have been told that it could be the bsi unit and expect big money to sort it out, anyone else know what the issue could be????

You can replace the relay in the BSI. About £7 for the relay + labour. Should be an hour, tops, really.

yea the auto electrician thought it would be a relay but after a morning of looking at it he told me that it was something else that he wouldn't be able to fix and that i would be looking at a new bsi also in the past 2-3 days before i stopped driving it i was getting an airbag warning and it was running rough at times. Trust things to go as soon as my work holidays start lol. hopefully the stealers should be able to workout what is up with it.

Roughing rough is nothing to do with the BSI and neither is the airbag light.
For the wipers, if the switch is ok, motor is ok, wiring is ok and fuse is ok, then it's just the relay in the BSI
