Over the last 12 months we have changed/replaced the front suspension on our 206cc 1.6 16v. Front discs & pads, top mounts, shocks & springs (all std) & lower wishbones. Once all this was done we had the suspension checked & aligned. All seemed fine. Very Happy

I dont drive it that often so when I do i notice every noise, bang & tap. I drove it recently & while changing gears I nearly wrote the thing off! Mad

It was apparent that when I took my foot off the accelerator the steering went left? Then when I put my foot back on the accelerator the car steered to the right?

Anyone point me in the right direction ( power steering? diff?), this is not good to drive at all. Sad

Simple one.. But usually overlooked, are your tyre pressures equal/correct on both sides?

When you changed the lower wishbones did either of the drive shafts pop out of the gearbox? The drivers one comes all the way out and oil goes everywhere, the passengers one however is held onto the box but can still pop out.. Just wondering if they may of been damaged somehow?

^ Thinking outloud lol

Ste, they all stayed intact, the car went to Kyle (gti180Boy) & was spot on after. Tyre pressures are the same too. Sad

Check you bottom arm/wishbone bushes. I have this problem on my 205 rally car when it wears the bushes down or damages them.

I have also heard the 206 is bad for it so I would take them both out and check for wear. I think you can get the bushes for them but it may just be cheaper to buy a set off ebay etc

206 180 rally car in progress. I may not be perfect but there are parts of me that are f£%$ing brilliant

Aftermarket, yes i know they do go mate and it has done 9k miles this year

But i havent known them to go 'every' year, as that will most likely be my average mileage

Well the MOT is on the 30th, so i will let you know
