Going upto Brum tomorrow hopefully to look at a 2.0 HDI 105K on the clock on a 2001 plate Very Happy very excited, hope it's still there in the morning
"if someone has put it together then I will take it apart" it might never work again but at least I will have an understanding of how it worked and might be able to buy another

The voices in my head may not be real, but they have some good ideas!!

the hdi 90's are wonderfultastic engines. As are the 1.4 HDi's to be fair Smile The 1.6 DPF= useless for short wee journeys.

Although the newer models are great, seem to be fine in new 207 and 308 models. the 1.6hdi 92 is a particularly good little beastie.

My HDi GTi is fine on short runs, had the unblock particulate filter message pop up the other day, so drove for about 2 miles at 45 in second gear (4500 rpm) problem sorted. As for the car you get the best of both, the gti spec and the 110 hdi, which is both punchy and econimical, I'm currenty getting 43.8 with a heavy right foot. I had it at 51.3 with sedate driving, all round town.

You average 72.72MPG? Sorry but I don't believe that, at all. Where is all your driving?

If his vans empty, there's less weight than the average 206 so I guess its possible Wink

Ive only had my car 3 weeks so only filled it up twice, but its averaging 37mpg. I am a little heavy footed at the mo though lol

All motorway at the moment, I forgot to mention. Plus, like the other fella said, the van is completely empty and is driven economically.
