i have a 2000 x 206 HDI, that was fine for 7 months, then one day stalled while i was driving.

tried to restart it, it wouldnt, left it an hour or so and it started and run fine, one left it over night and it was fine.

it has done this about 5 times now,

when it wont start you cant hear the fuel pump priming, or the fuel relay click

any ideas?

is there a way to bridge the connections on the fuel pump relay to eliminate that?

the fuel pump is on the engine driven by a belt so you cannot bridge that!

Have you got any warning lights showing up?

That's the engine idling therefore priming the fuel.

And then you turn it again and the engine starts.

Depends on the HDI engine in question & what it's fitted to.

Some HDI set up's dont have / need the electric in tank lift pump.
