Hi
new to this site, so good evening, don't know if anyone can help
Bought a 206 1.4hdi 2002 earlier today as a cheap run around - for 460 i can't complain, knew it had some issues so now trying to sort them.
Car will turn over, but will not fire and run unless i spray easy start into air intake. It is a Bosch ecu, and the primer when pumped never goes hard, I can see the air and watch the fuel flow as i pump and a fair bit of air bubbles from the primer side as I pump it.
The car has had a butcher of an engine swap and I will not go into it right now but I notice that that there is no hum of an electric pump from under the rear seat and wondered if there is supposed to be a low pressure pump on these in the tank? If so is it controlled by fuse 8 and or 15 in the fuse box under the bonnet??
The 5 way fuel pipe arrangement with sensor on the back of the engine ( under the air box) has been jointed with a small jubilee clip, so I am wondering if it is drawing in air and this is my only issue or if its the air and the lack of low pressure pump? Bleed off pipes look new.
Looking at buying peugeot planet (lexia 3) off ebay for a play with it and i am happy to put it into a friend s garage if its a high pressure pump problem, but the engine revs fine - no stopping at 2900rpm so I hope this wont take too much to solve.
Need some parts such as new turbo hose, timing belt cover, spare key and fuel tank strap if anyone is breaking one, maybe a bonnet and an offside wing (car is white by the way ) - but will source from motor factors on Monday -
I'll carry on with it tomorrow if weather warms up - oh what is diameter of fuel pipe is it 7 or 8mm internal?
Also - note the meta alarm has been hacked out, so wondering if immobiliser circuit was cut in to the pump as standard - just a thought - all paperwork present by the way - its not dodgy.
Thanks and your welcome to ask for technical help in return - more of an IT, electronics repair type.
Thanks
Dave

Don' know if I am asking too much,
Does anyone else have a 206 1.4 hdi with Bosch ecu?
If so does your one have a hand primer? And / or make a noise from a low pressure pump in the tank?
If anyone has a bosch ecu'd hdi - and it has a low pressure pump ... is it fuses 8 and or 15?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the tank sender? only two wires in use - green and a green /yellow, will check but suspecting this is the sender - but colour coding on haynes diagram says it isn't from
diagrams here
wiringdiagramsolutions...epost.html
Couldn't find fuel pump - does it have a low pressure pump?
Is the Meta alarm on my 206 hdi come as standard (siren below battery)? If so does anyone have a wiring diagram?
I can't be the only soul with a 206? _ And Merseyside isn't that bad, well not all the time.
Help???
Thanks
Dave

Have you tried bleeding the fuel lines. could be air in it. Did it work fine after the engine swap?
