Our stereo seems to broken (or so we keep being told) and drains the battery so we've disconnected it. We need to get a new stereo but can't seem to find one anywhere that is compatible with a cd changer. The stereo seems to have been the original but I'm assuming the changer was added at a later date. Does anyone have any ideas of one that'll work? Confused

Bit more info and you may get your answer.

Have you got the standard HU and changer or is it after market?

Its the standard HU and a Clarion changer, I have also been informed that the changer is likely to have been with the car originally as well.... (I don't really have a clue about this kind of thing!)
Please help me fix my car!!! Smile

Well the easest option would be to change the HU and changer to an after market one.

If you're going to the trouble of changing the head unit and cd changer then forget the cd changer and get an ipod(*) compatible head unit instead. A cd changer seems a slightly archaic thing to be buying, if you're spending money anyway you may as well upgrade a little.

(*) other mp3 players are available.

There\'s no sense crying over every mistake.\r\nYou just keep on trying \'til you run out of cake.
