So the 206 Haynes manual doesn't cover the TU5JP4 1.6 16v petrol engine but the 106 manual does? Is it worth getting the 106 manual for a guide to engine maintenance or should I not bother?

Would be useful as a reference, but dont expect everything to be identical. Get both and then make a judgement based on the information between the two.

Haynes manuals these days are absolute crap, there's hardly any useful information in them anymore either.

There's plenty of mistakes in the black 206 manual Rolling Eyes

I have the Haynes manual and a 1.6 16v. It comes it pretty handy now and then - check ebay or a charity shop for a cheap copy. Ironically it doesn't cover the 16v but I have noticed a few of the 1.6 photos are in fact the 16v engine...

I find now that Haynes doesn't supply exploded diagrams, like it used to in the good old days, service box can be pretty helpful to get an idea of how things are put together before/without taking them apart.

cool thanks guys, when I got my car it didn't have a service booklet so I was thinking that a Haynes manual may have been a suitable alternative. May not bother now to be honest.

Just out of interest how much would a main dealer charge for one of them?
