Check the gearbox oil level would be an idea.

It maybe, 5th is always the first gear that starts being noisy when the box is run low on oil.

Actually it is possible because when i changed wisebone on passenger side the d/s slipped out a bit and the gear box did a little wee on floor but did not seem a lot but just chuck it in to garage and change the oil to freshen it up

Just get the gearbox oil from any Peugeot / Citroen main dealer & change it yourself.

The correct gearbox oil is less then £8.
