I put up a thread a while back regarding the central locking on my gti 2000. When I press the big button on the fob the car locks then unlocks. I have taken both door mechs out and checked them and replaced a faulty boot mech. But it still wont lock, what else can I check? I have tried dissconecting each mech to see if that helps but no.
Really need to sort this as I cant go anywhere as the car wont lock.

not sure if this will help, but at anytime have you changed the solenoids? (may be called something different lol)
but, i had a problem with my central locking, as it wouldnt always unlock when i pressed the button. so i bought a 2nd hand solenoid from another 206 but a different spec to mine, as i thought it would be the same. however, when i put it in the car would lock then unlock, like yours does.
so perhaps it's that?
dont really know what else it could be though. maybe a fuse?

They won't lock unless they are all in place. So disconnecting one an then trying to lock won't work.
Have to tried to see what lock isn't going down?

All locks go down then bounce back up.
Have checked all fuses.
Where would I find the solenoids?

The solenoid is part of the mechanism, the ones you have already removed. (three torx screws and then remove from between doorcard and door.)
Go to a scrapyard and replace BOTH, although I doubt they will be much new from Peugeot. It will likely be the passenger side though.

I have narrowed it down to the passenger side but it looks to work ok. I will replace the passenger side. Scrappy want £15 for 1.
Have just sold a passenger door

As long as they have the same connector then they will work.

A while back when it was cold the passenger door wouldnt shut for abit and it was after that the car wouldnt lock. Before this the car would lock when I was driving, but only did this once or twice. Have swopped the drivers mech.
