my car has a ticking sound coming from rocker cover sounds like the good old fasioned tappet noise the cars done under 85.000 miles surley it cant need a new camshaft and followers already ???? if it does then all i can say is what a pathetic piece of engineering lol my fiend has same car and hers has started doing the same .if it does need new camshaft and followers the cam costs £305 inc vat followers £24 each any advice guys and gals ??????

many thanks glenspring i will have a real good look later but have to say it does sound more mechanical and is more noticible at tick over but its not there all the time some times its gone ????

thats cool i found when i was driving the chuffing kinda noise would get faster
