HI Guys

Got my first GTI about a week ago, just wanted a run round to go back and four work, but maybe starting to regret it?

Noticing a few problems, these maybe easily solvable (hopefully). I have not got a clue with cars!!!

1 - LCD display is not working for the time, and temp etc

2 - Also the digital mileage display only sometimes shows, you can only make some numbers out

3 - When I full lock the steering wheel right or left a screeching sound can be heard and its quite loud

4 - The front window washers are not working, it sounds like the pump is working but get nothing out except the tips foam

5 - Every bump and lump in the road can be felt when driving

The car is going to be looked over by a garage soon just wanted to see if other people have had similar problems

Car details
2001 Y reg
Gti standard
17 inch alloys/tyres

1. LCD Display easily changes, should be a How To on here if you use the Search Button you can find on the top bar.
3. Could possibly be the AUX Belt, but not 100%
4. Could be a blockage in the system, poke a needle or somthing though the little holes see if that helps it, or go to your Peugeot/Citreon main dealer and ask for the Phase 2 Wash Jets from a new 206.

Hope this helps, if I'm wrong someone will correct me (y)

1. Faulty MFD.
2. Replace a bulb behind the display.
4. Replace the washer jets. If that doesn't work, replace the piping.
5. You have 17's fitted. Fit a proper set of wheels without a smear of rubber and you will notice an improvement. Have the suspension looked at too.
