I have a 2000 Peugeot 206 1.4lx with factory fitted radio cassette. When turning the ignition on sometimes it can take up to 5 minutes for the radio to power on. Is there a relay that could be sticking? or is there another reason why this may happen?

No relays involved. Might just be your old radio is finally on its way out.

Does anybody know if the Radio cassette 2030 and CD radio RD1 are interchangeable without changing the wiring loom?

Should be .. as long as you get a pre-mux unit (ie the shaped one with display, not rectangular with no display) I don't see why they shouldn't just plug and play.

I replaced my daughter's CC radio with a Sony unit as we wanted to use an MP3 ... that just involved swapping a red and yellow wire which came as part of the kit to connect radio to wiring harness. Worked first time (but we didn't bother with remote!)

Straight swop but remember the RD1 is security coded so get the radio code with the unit, why you would want an RD1 when there are much better cd players around very cheaply ( & will be cheaper in xmas / new years sales )

"No radio" - as in poor/no reception?

Is there an antenna amplifier in the base (as in the stock antenna)?
If so, did you hook up the power lead so that the amplifier gets power from the head unit?
