Just failed MOT and been given a quote for repair by the garage, obviously going to ring round on Monday but wondered if the prices were good/bad/what I should expect from other garages..

Nearside rear (main) Brake pipe excessively corroded
Offside rear (main) Brake pipe excessively corroded
Rear (center) Brake pipe excessively corroded
Nearside front Anti-roll bar linkage worn and seriously weakened
Front brake pad(s) less than 1.5mm thick.

He just pulled prices from his head as it's late on a Saturday, but quoted the following:

All break pipes (inc labour) £80
ARB linkage: £15
Break Pads £20
Labour for pads/linkage: £30
Total £145

Is this reasonable, should I be looking for cheaper, or is it about the going rate? (currently in West Yorkshire if it makes any difference)

Thanks.

He said I had 10 days to take it back for a partial retest, didn't mention a cost for it, and didn't even try to quote me for the repairs until I asked, MOT was only £35 anyways
