Does the shield on a close coupled cat need to be there?
Mines been rattling like a b*****d lately.
I've purchased 2 greet big hose clips to see if that helps but I'd just like to know if I'd be alright to just remove the shield if I have to.

It happened on mine before I had my sports cat a stone got in-between the shield so I just took it off

Mine split in half down the weld seem and I just used a big hose clip to hold it together. Worked fine and its been on over a year.
