Well it's now been looked at by the bodyshop and the guy there seems reasonably confident that it will be repaired not written off.
Damage to the front consists of bumper which will be repaired, Bonnet which will be replaced plug grille and N/S headlamp mountings.
Rear will require new bumper, foglamp and rear panel. Repair is needed to bootlid which has just been flattened off slight and the boot floor can be straightened out.
In addition her insurance company have already admitted full liability which saves me a whole load of hassle.
Hopefully with everything taken into account it may live to see another day and you never know i may get round to getting some mods done to it.
Sounds like a lot of damage to be honest and if the cost is more than 2 thirds of the car value and by the sounds of it they will be, the insurance company is going to write it off I'm sorry to say.
The insurance company will see it cheaper that way than repairing it as they have to use genuine parts.

Yea i'll wait and see what happens hopefully it should be sorted nice and quickly. A repair is the best option but i'll keep looking to see what else comes up at the right price. I've just seen a 206 1.4 LX hdi on a 2003 for £2195 with £900 just been spent on it including a new turbo & Particulate Filter. Only thing is that it's done 104000 miles where as mine is 05 with 69000

Well as much as i was hoping it wouldn't be it has now been written off. Now just got to negotiate a good settlement price. On my side is the fact that its got a fully 13 month mot as only passed mot on friday and that was the first day it could be presented for mot.
I'm also gonna be pointing out the fact that it has only had 1 previous owner who was infact my sister so the car has been in the family from new and the fact that it has a full service history with many new parts recently fitted.
Loan car is being dropped off shortly and as it costs them for the entire time i have it they will no doubt be wishing to arrange settlement as quickly as possible.
Now just gotta decide what to get next. Been looking at a 2003 LX 1.4 HDi or could go for something completely different so will have to wait and see
