What He Said
When I put meter across the battery at rest, it only had 11.7v in it.

Try carparts4less.co.uk ... it's actually Euro Car Parts but internet only and they offer around 20% off and free delivery.

Ordered our 1.4 HDi battery from them ... got an Exide for around £60 and delivered in a couple of days. Might even be same battery on you 180 as it's same as the 206CC 138bhp.

And if GF moans, ask her if she wants to risk being let down but a flat battery in the middle of the night in the pouring rain or when she's late for work ... and forking out a lot more to some one like the AA or RAC or the garage they dump your car at. Wink

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

do you hear a beep sound or a Bong sound? if it's a bong sound, then your battery is weak and need to be checked, make sure that your alten. works fine, and give a reading of 14 Volt while the car is running, and 12 Volt with car stopped, look on the battery to see how old it's???

And by the way, don't wait for the battery to go flat dead, because the ECU don't like weak charge or high charge, this will cause you problems that gonna cost more than a new battery when you fix it.

You might just wanna stick a battery charger on it and give a good deep charge cycle.

If that doesn't help, then buy a new battery.. You could be binning a good'un.

Sorry really irrelevant but I looked at this quick and saw carpets4less.co.uk!! Haha, back to topic - more than likely the battery isn't holding full charge..
