Hi. Im new to this site but hope some of you may be able to help.
My son bought a 206 recently but has had some problems. He had a major oil and water leak with steam coming out of the bonnet. I thought head gasket. I have changed the head gasket, cam belt, aux belt. put it all back together. When it comes up to temp it still has steam coming from rad. Its like water is boiling in the rad. I have checked thermostat, flushed and bled coolant. I have not heard the fan come on yet. Am i right to think that this will be the problem????? Any advice would be greatly recieved

I think the steam was just because i was following the manual instructions regarding refilling coolant. It said just to idle until the fan came on and off twice. I was waiting a while and it didnt! So i think it was just overheating!

I had the same problem as this, my radiator had a slight crack in it, changed the rad and it was fine Smile

Did you check the head to see if it was warped?

I did the best i could. I used a steel ruler to try to see any obvious warping but it all looked pretty good
