You should still have a flat washer (larger one) that sits over the threaded part of the shock before it goes into the bearings - so technically - you have one either side. This one is a tad more important - and a b**tard to change if you forget it

I've just checked the manual now I am in the garage - and sure enough section 10 - diagrams 5.13a and 5.14a show your two washers! Strut is same arrangements on all models, so this is right, so you need to find this other washer!

Just been down to the pug garage on me dinner and orderd 2new top and 2new bottom washers and 6new top mount bolts. But they've got to do some ringing around as they don't stock them and come in packs of 20.

always the way - the washers can be generic jobbies really - they don't need to be from the main stealer. The bolts can also be located elsewhere, buy making sure they are right pitch/length. Going to pug just takes the stress out of this sometimes..

Before anyone finds it and freaks out - yes, the car is up for interest on eBay...
There is a reserve, and I am very upset to be considering the sale, but needs must. I am not in a position to NEED a sale, but it is just not getting enough use, and my Audi is stealing the limelight now!
Interested parties know who to call!!
