Hello,new to the forum and just bought my lovley 206,but she has issues.suspensions quite stiff which is fine but the hat shield around the exhaust is rattling like crazy with every slight bump.question is can i remove the heat shield safely or has anyone got a solution to my problem. Crying or Very sad

Yeah you can just remove it mate won't be a problem.

2bh I wouldn't remove it. It's there for a reason. to stop the heat burning pipes/hand brake cable. Just see were it's loose and re-fix it.

could always remove it and stick something insulating between the pipe and the car

cheers,that will probably be tomorrows job then.already removed the heat shield from by the backbox as it was rotten.thought that would solve the rattle.
would it be a good idea to leave the shield by the petrol tank alone?daft question i,m sure.

really stuck now!removed the heatshield,made sure the exhaust does not hit anything...and still a rattle when i drive over bumps...
could it be suspension?cars on 40 profile tyres but suspension seems standard....

Mines rattling like f**k ive removed the spare wheel cage thinking it was that but no still there.
