Right, I've got a couple of little things I've noticed on my car that aren't really bothering me, just thought I should mention them, dunno if their normal or I've got problems?
1. Under hard acceleration, I can hear like a metal rattly sound from somewhere in the engine. Haven't got a clue what it is, it's only very faint, and it seems to come from the nearside
2. At idle, there's a minor rattle that sounds like it's coming from the offside of the engine.
3. When it's cold and idling at about 1000-1200rpm, the whole car shakes. Not violently, just noticably.
4. When dipping the clutch to change gear, the revs shoot up for a split second, even though I come off the loud pedal as I'm hitting the clutch.
Any ideas if I need to worry about anything?

Have the same problem as number 4. Revs shoot up when I dip the clutch, but I think mine is only when downshifting, like if I hold whichever gear I'm in and let the revs go down low to about 1000-1500rpm and then shift, the revs shoot. Assumed it's normal, if not would love to sort that out as it kinda annoys me.

1) Could be just a heatshield rattle.
2) What type of rattle? If is is grinding/scraping sound, it could possibly be bearings in your waterpump/alternator
3) Maybe an engine mount weakening? If you keep your hand on the gearstick after changing gear, when you lift of the clutch and press back on the gas do you feel a 'kick' through the gearknob?
Or maybe just a slight missfire. When were you spark plugs last changed?

A bit more information would be useful. Fuel? Engine size? Year?

Nah, we dont need any of that information.
We can just take a guess if its a hydraulic or cable clutch
