Hi, can anyone tell me the correct size of brake spanner to use on a rear drums brake cylinder, tried 11mm and its a loose fit and don't want to round it off Question

Try a 10mm or then 9mm etc etc

You are using a proper brake flare spanner & not just a normal spanner?

Try imperial and Whitworth sizes or if really struggling and only have basic tools use an adjustable Laughing

Got a tool box full of them. Never throw a tool away until it breaks.Never know when they might come in handy.

I'm sure someone will still sell them as they were common sizes on the classic British cars like Austin and Morris. I think some of the classic bikes used them too.

I think the only one I have is the inch spanner as its 22mm, rather than 25.4mm like the imperial inch
