My 180 was returning;

On Friday in France! my PB was 33.4 for the day and I reckon had I been on a longer motorway distance I could have easily hit 35. I ruined it though when I thought I was going to be running late for my ferry so raped it all the way (only to find the ferry was delayed 4 and a half hrs!).

My average combined PB without trying for it hardcore is 31 mpg that's a mixture of rapage and normal driving.

Whats the most anyones had out of a 180?

A more interesting question would be: What's the worst that anyone's achieved in their 180? Razz

I think I managed to average 13/14mpg the first week I had my 138, that didnt half damage my wallet.

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

Well when most of your commute is down typical welsh mountain back roads, jumping from a 1.4 to a GTi you tend to end up exploring the differences Wink

My wallet wasnt saying that. Think the first day I had it on the road, I ended up going to the petrol station 4 times and I was in work for 7 hours as well.

Generally if you buy that sort of car, your not really buying it for a good mpg return.

Yeah when your 18, that's the standard answer everyone knows that! I have just unlocked an achievement Xbox style. 180's are notorious for s**t mpg even when your trying so I'm now curious how much I can reach lol.

My 138 was bought as a runabout for this missus not at all for its GTI-ness. Although I wanted something that she could ST round stuff in easily enough.

We both use it and it averages over a whole tank 37mpg.. The computer over reads though, brim to brim calculations show about 34mpg.

GTI 138 facelift - Runabout
335d M Sport - Cruiser
