Hello,

Well yet another problem I need your help with.
Recently my steering has been feeling quite loose as if I'm driving in heavy rain or on ice and also I feel like I have to over steer a lot more than I use to. Another thing that has arose is that when I turn right (mainly at roundabouts or wide corners) there is a loud screech coming from the drivers side wheel which sounds to me like a tyre skidding screeching noise.

I know this is one of them things that could be several different things but if anyone can help me find the most likely cause or at least the most cheapest to fix that would be a start, I am quite worried that this is goin to get worse and as I do a lot of motorway driving I don't want to have a bad accident! :/

If ball joints have failed the tyre may be rubbing on the shock

No just standard wheels, I'm not worried that the tyres are rubbing because I think the noise is tyres screeching on the road but I worried because my steering is very loose and it feels like I'm driving on ice. One day I think I'm gonna turn the wheel and nothing will happen! :/

Could this be anything to do with I've just fitted 2 new lower arms? Could something have been d
Damaged in the process?

Genuine parts used?

Fitted correctly?

Tracking checked / adjusted afterwards?

Genuine parts used yes, fitted correctly yes to be best of my knowledge, tracking checked afterwards no. Could this cause the steering to be very light though? I thought if the tracking was out it would drift left or right when holding the steering wheel straight? No?

Also been under it today and loooked and checked everything under there as best I could for obvious damage on ball joints, discs, track rods, drop links, driveshafts etc. Tried holding the wheel and shaking to see if there was any play but nothing, also tried spinning the wheels while it was in gear to check for failing drive shafts but nothing again!

Aaahhhrrr! What could it be! Sad I jus wanna get it sorted but don't wanna just start changing stuff willy nilly or sending it into a garage blind

I don't think so, I've not put any more air in my tyres recently but I will check that today.
