how accurate are the trip computers on the hdi model? based on this not very? also is the fuel needle ment to go down past empty when ignition is off? it didn't on my petrol non-plex

Somethings up with your needles, the tempersture one looks to low as well.

Been a while since I had a preplex 206, but don't think they go down that far when off + I'm pretty sure the trip computer doesn't take it's data from the clocks, so it's not nesecerily that that is not accurate.

been this way since i bought it

bsi update, can only a peugeot dealer do this?

if the tc does not take its data from the clocks does that mean the tc is correct and i have more fuel than its showing on the clocks?

Honestly not sure, I guess it takes it from the fuel pump which then sends a signal the the trip computer AND the clocks - the clock motor then interprets the fuel level and displays it.

That's how in my mind the system would logically work.

But apart from that I don't really know anything about it chances are the clock is wrong if one of the two had to be - although remember the trip computer is only an estimator.

fuel light on= exactly mpg distance left

not sure what you mean?

you mean when the fuel light comes on thats when its low? saying that even though fuel needle was on nothing the light never came on?

You need to fix your fuel gage,but the best way to do so is to change the cluster,but the mileage will be diff as the used one have a diff. Reading.

And as for the trip computer,it's not 100% accurate,because it depends on the way you drive

is there no way to program the new cluster to read the correct mileage?
