Hi all,

First day of owning a 206 so be gentle please Smile

When I push the jets down for the rear screen washer water comes out and the wiper goes on like its supposed to however when i push the stalk down for the front ones the wiper goes on but the motor does not sound and no water hits the screen.

Am i doing something wrong or is something broken?

Thanks for any help.

Don't worry about it, When I first got my 206 I was pushing the stalk down and wondering why nothing was happening, accidentally caught it one morning and I was like "ohhhhhhhhh"

What year do you have? Got myself an oldie 1999 1.1 Still runs fine though, just had its usual service, can't go wrong with the 1.1 and the 1.4 petrol's!

Just so you know, Pushing the stalk down does activate the front wipers to run once, handy if its light drizzle or for just cleaning off excess water from the washers.

I've got the 1999 1.4 GLX model. Got it for £895 with 43,000 miles on the clock and a full service history to boot! Apart from alloys it also has every single optional extra as well!

Drives pretty well as well!

You did very well there for a 1999, Mines got dead on 102k! Decent price too for a full spec! Just get some alloys on it and you are good to go!

Did you get it HPI checked? Honestly sounds a bit too low for my liking.

For the age its not that bad really, I see 01 and 02 plates with 120k+

Stick with standard, its what looks best on the 206, Nimrods are usually the favorite.

However there is a lot you can chose from!

These are nimrods:

You can get a decent set of nimrods for £120 these days. Wether you need new tyres aswell depends on the condition of the tyres already on and what car they came from. They are also available on the 406, but the tyres are too big. But if you put correct tyre size on they will be fine.

I think GLX is a top spec, and you got a very low mileage one for a fair price.

Just make sure the cambelt has been done recently.
