How can i find out, PP2000 is asking me, there's quite a few models listed.
2004 gti 138.

Usually does it by engine code, eg RFN or RFR

I did look on servicebox but couldnt find it, eventually worked it out by trying them all! It was a RFN one.

RFN, KFW etc is the engine code not ECU.
Have a look on the actual unit and see what the labels say.

Nothing on my ECU, but it must be related somehow to enging code.

Ye it is as Lee says.
But you should have some labels/markings on the ECU itself as well.
