There's only one fog light..

The rear fog light can be removed in the same way the indicators are removed.

Push the fog lamp to one side, i think its the left, that will release the clip then allow it to come towards you.

Once out, twist the grey plug and release it from the fog lamp and then you can change the bulb.

The bulb is the same as THIS

in the rear fog light on the drivers side?

i open the boot to access the back of the rear light and I can see fabric boot trim blocking my way. How do i remove this trim?

The fog light is not in the rear cluster. It's in the middle of the rear bumper.

You need to lay on the floor and stick your head under the rear of the car. You will see the wiring with the grey plug. If you twist the plug it will come out with the bulb holder. Swap the bulb over then do the reverse to replace it.

You don't even need to touch the boot, let alone unlock the car to do it, Matt has described it fully
Get off the bandwagon, and put down the handbook.

Update: I put a new bulb in and its still isn't working. I checked the connection in the bulb holder and its rusted/dirty. What's the best way to clean it?

Have you checked the fuse with a multimeter or by eye?
Have you put a multimeter across he contacts of the bulb holder to make sure 12v is getting to it?

The answer is on this site somewhere, but like you I can't be bothered to search for it.

You can have this one for free, open the bonnet and think of a number between 5 and 7. It should be the colour of the films you keep hidden under your bed.

You're spot on. 2 Fuse boxes. 1 in the car under the steering column and one under the bonnet.
You should have got a link to this sent to your inbox when you joined the site. It's worth having a read as there is a lot of information that you are going to need to know, including a useful fuse list.

You may be new to the site, but you are asking very basic questions which make me think you are new to cars. By messing with the electrics when you know nothing about them you risk doing more damage. If in doubt, pay someone to do the job for you. It will work out cheaper in the long run.
