Sup all 
Loving my 206 so far. Got 580 miles to half a tank yesterday. It's mad.
Anyway.
Need to replace the nearside door. Found one in the same colour, only problem is the handle, it's black. Mine is EYL.
Is it easy enough to replace the handle...? something tells me it's going to be riveted and a massive ball ache.
Make me happy...!

It is riveted yes, |Its not that hard though. I changed mine. You need to remove the door card to start; this is a few torx screws around the edge, one behind the mirror cover and not forgetting the one in the door handle/slot. The pull it off from the bottom and slide it up out of the window seal.
Before you start the job you need to go to a Peugeot dealer and buy the plastic clips that hold it on as they will break. They are a few pence each.
After drilling the rivets out and some fiddling they come out. To be honest I don't see why you can't just screw them back in if you don't have a rivet gun.

so you should be loving you 206! what engine is yours? i got about 600 miles just to a full tank on my 1.4hdi
as for your door handle issue, only ever done it on a 106.. ended up drilling the rivets out and then using screws to secure the handle back in. bit of a security flop though as a phillips screwdriver would remove the handle

That's a stupidly high mileage? You sure that's right? I mean I know there economical but that's mad!

It's a 1.4 HDi lads, I'm blame installing the MPG trip setup  I got 650 miles to the first tank when I bought it a couple of weeks back just sticking at a GPS'd 70 mph. The other day I was coming on to a slip road and just so happened to end up behind a lorry. Noticed the instant mpg was 130 or something daft and just decided to stay behind it for a bit and see how I got on.
I got 92 mpg from a saxo 1.5D and 74 mpg out of a c3 1.4 hdi years ago just by going steady.
I'll fill it up later and confirm consumption though!

It's on 100k at the moment dude. But I'm adding about a 1000 a month at the minute.
Just read your 206 story... top effort considering it was buggered at the front when you bought it!
