Car ran perfect on the way to work this morning, about a 10 mile drive, not a problem whatsoever! She was parked outside work all day untouched, I left work, bird poop all over it!! 
Anyway, they somehow managed to get some on the inside of my coolant tank, and I am currently fairly confident that the head gasket is gone!! Awaiting the AA as the car has no power at all, sounds like a rubbish tractor and I am very hungry and no where near a food establishment, or my mums kitchen!
I also noticed that a little plastic pipe coming from the fuel rail, into the air box has a slight breakage in it... well its actually snapped in half and seems to be letting fuel leak out of it
Can find a gasket for just over £60 but cannot find this little fuel thing anywhere, not sure what name it goes by and cannot get any pics currently as I am at work and the net is about as useful as my car right now... Any ideas on this part and if someone has one for sale, I want it please 
Umm... now the point of this thread, anyone had the head gasket changed before? If so, how much was it?

Clever birds. They can open the door, pop open the bonnet, lift it up, unscrew a expansion tank cap, s**t in it and replace it. Bit clumsy though breaking a pipe off in the process.
Think you've been watching the Cravendale milk advert too much and are imagining cats with thumbs.
