When I press my Clutch down or let go once I have pressed it my car seems to make a squeaking noise, it also does this when I press or release my Accelerator. It sometimes feels as if it is making the car jolt when it does this. Sometimes the problem occurs until I have been driving for a while and the car is warm, I have searched everywhere throughout the internet over the past few days and cannot find any information to help me, I have asked mechanics and they don't know what i'm going on about. I changed my Oil, Oil Filter, Air filter & Spark Plugs but this did not help. My car also tends to act up when I start it, I normally have to put the key in and turn on the electrics for about 15 seconds before I can start the car otherwise the car will cut out and reset the Date & Time, I would not mind this but it has happened twice whilst rolling over a train crossing; the only two times I have been across. The car is a Peugeot 206 1.4 Look2 with 74000 miles.

If anyone could help me that would be extremely helpful as I do not know what to do and don't even want to drive my car, I should also note that the noise also happened in my old car which was a Volkswagen Polo, it might be a problem due to my driving but I only purchased my 206 about 5 days ago.

Clutch release bearing if I'm not mistaken. Had the same thing happen to mine. Cheaper to buy a clutch kit as it is preferred amoung mechanics just to fit a brand new kit rather than having to just renew the bearing

Peugeot 206 1.4 Look2 with 74000 miles.

I had exactly the same thing a while back, at exactly the same milage.

Drove me nuts for ages and I was replacing parts left right and centre.

Turned-out to be the join of the mid-pipe of the exhaust to the front (cat pipe) with the two springs.
It has a ring between the two sections which disintegrates and makes a gap and squeaks at the join.

Check it out first as it's quite easy to tighten it up and see if it makes a difference.

If it's this, then check your engine mount (RHS) and gearbox mount (LHS) to address jolt issue.
