Afternoon All,

I've done a service on my car, so I changed the diesel filter and i am still getting an issue with "Unblock Diesel Filter" a mate recommended I drive in 4th at 3,000rpm for about 20 minutes, so i done this and left the engine running for 10 minutes switched it off then waiting 30 minutes and turned it back on, The message still appears, anyone got rid of this issue before?

Tar,
J

You changed the diesel filter...?

Do you mean DPF or you changed the diesel filter under the bonnet?

The diesel filter is referring to the diesel particle filter bolted onto the exhaust in front of the radiator. If a long run didn't clear it, you need to get it scanned for codes. It might be that you have run out of Eolys fluid or the filter has done its maximum amount of regenerations. What mileage has it done?

Yes that is the diesel filter. Always best to replace that first. The message your car is referring to is the dpf/fap system in the exhaust. You need it scanned to find out why it's not re-generating on a run. Could be something really simple ( it was the fuel cap sensor on mine) but get it done or the carbon build up will slowly form and end up blocking oil to the turbo and then it's new turbo time!! Believe me it doesn't take long!

Yes even if the yellow light isn't on it isn't re-generating. You need a re-gen to burn off the carbon sharp ish! Could be the fluid low, particle filter needs cleaning/replacing/removing and counters reset with Peugeot planet, fuel cap sensor might be faulty, or the glow plugs could be knackered ( u need a good set for a re-gen! ) let us know

Could be your egr valve a bit coked up, to be honest if it needs glow plugs u could clean that at the same time! See what the codes are first, always do the free stuff first ie cleaning.

1351 is glow plugs or relay, more than likely be the plugs! I change a set in my girlfriends 1.6 hdi sport a month ago and now it re-gens fine! I would advise that. I did a 'how to' on the plugs in the how to section! £29 for 4 from Gsf, Beru make them.
