My peugeot 206, 1.1l (05 reg) drives well on smooth roads, but on bumpy roads// occasionally going around corners it makes a sort of clunking/creaking noise (hard to describe) but I think its coming from the rear of the car. On the recent MOT it has advisories on the anti roll linkage bars.. could this be the problem.. and will replacing them solve it? (& how much are you talking to do this?) if not what else could it be??

Any help appreciated!!

Anti roll bar link's are on the front and don't cost a lot. but if it's coming from the rear that's a different story...

Knocks bangs clunks from the front and the rear are common it's french! could be front suspension rear suspension exhaust spare wheel cage, the list is endless I would change the links as a matter of course if they have been highlighted already!

Yeah will look into the links, and hope that solves the problem.. only thing is that the MOT was only a week or so ago, so surely if something was majorly wrong with the suspension or whatever else, it would have shown up on the MOT.. if i'm right? (I've only just acquired the car so don't know if this was a long standing problem or not)

Don't think its the exhaust, its more of a creaking noise (i'm assuming it comes from the weight transfer from different parts of the car) rather than an exhaust knocking, but can't tell for sure if its the front or back of the car (sounds like the back though, but someone said that sometimes that is hard to tell as the sound can transfer)

Could be your CV joint (constant velocity joint)
Check how the wishbone looks too, turn the wheel full lock to the appropriate side. Does it clunk when stationary?

onI'm not very car savvy.. What's the Constant velocity joint and what does it do?? (& same for the wishbone) ... will have to test that though..

Would this stuff have shown up on the MOT by the way?? Cause i'm just wondering how it couldve been missed otherwise.

Was thinking of changing the anti roll link bars cause they have been pointed out on the MOT and see if that sorts the problem... ??

Hand the anti roll bar links changed and it has solved that problem! yay! .... only thing is there is a slight noise from the engine .. something to do with the water pump or something.. which would cost a substantial amount due to possibly having to change the cam belt at the same time.. its not urgent, but still.
