ahh thanks, dont actually want to remove the rails if possible just the motor. Does it come off separately? If not I'll have to work around it

Unplug it, disconnect the lock rods then undo the screws.
Remember the central locking motor is the complete door latch!

I'm trying to remove as much stuff in the door as possible so that there is better access to the outer door skin so that I can apply sound deadening easier.
I would just drill the rivets out but that would mean buying a rivert gun and rivets to get it all back in again which is money and PITA!

Hmm, sounds more complicated than I would have liked. Is there a guide as to how to go about doing this?
