I'm still having power problems with the 2.0 Dturbo. The power drops at 3K and smokes alot from the exhaust with a quiet whine noise from the turbo.
The car works perfect when the weather is cold (plenty of poke). So far the air flow meter and temperature sensor have been changed.
Getting it hooked up for error codes in the next week or two.
Anyone has similar problems??

Couldn't tell tbh, had a full service about 2000 miles ago. Want it sorted because over taking can be a bit scary when the car decides to play up

Naa its not the turbo, its has plenty of poke still, just depends on temperature outside or maybe amount of fuel =/ very hormonal

all filters were changed 2000 mile ago. We thought it was the airflow meter and temperature sensor thing but nope, its like dominos..one code pops up, fix it, another appears. Blaaaaaaa (noise of rage)

turbo kicks in a 1.8 yeah and goes to 3k or so then nothing. But on a cold day the car revs up to 4, drives perfectly plenty of power.
At first we thought it could be faulty tuning box, so it came off and there's been no change.

have you checked the turbo just to rule it out, i have known them to cause this problem, if the bearing is lose, it will spin fast enough to turbo you up to 3k and then because of the bad bearing it will start to jam up or stick so you run out of turbo so too speak, I know i'm banging on about the turbo all the time but well worth a FREE check to rule it out before you spend any money, one thing a hate is spending money out before i've checked every thing i can myself.
