It's going to be hard due to the Data Protection act. No one is entitled to give out that information

There was a time when people were going to the post office, picking up the form and saying that the car had been seen to hit theirs in a private car park.
Easy way to get someones home address. A policeman came home one day to find a note pinned to his front door with a knife after his address was gained using this method. The idiot wasn't the brightest button as he put his name on the note. As a result police were given the option of registering their cars to the police station they were based at.
Other people have used it for stalking someone they have seen driving around and wanted to ask out on a date.
The system really should be better regulated, but then you start messing with peoples Human Rights so the government trust people to be honest rather than stopping it happening.

This is the same way those con artists called 'Private Parking Companies' get our address isn't it?

I've got part of it in my kitchen cupboard. I'll have spaghetti hoops for tea and then you can buy the empty tin off me.

Wow. That's shocking!!
I was more referring to the part about only being able to supply information for a valid reason and not just "because you want to know" but I can see what you mean about people making things up...

Can't be found, so either it's gone or it's got a private plate on it
