I am trying to get my 206 fully sorted now but I need some help from you guys.
I have the symptoms of a duff comms; my air-bag light is on and the horn does not work. However I feel this is not the case after further investigation.
The grey plug behind the air-bag reads 4v. I then checked the brown (297404) and the blue (297403) plugs ether side of the unit. They both read 4v as well suggesting the comms is not at fault?
I followed the wires down into the loom that goes down past the earthing point under the carpet. I found wire 07h3 that comes off the comms. I stripped some wire and tested it. Its showing 4v there as well.
My problem now is that I don't know where the loom goes after that as it runs under the seat through the tunnel. Can I have some help as to where to investigate next?
Moving onto the exterior fuse box I find 2 wires on the bottom left plug (ep1noir) are faulty. 6333 reads 3v and 9013 reads 1v. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am looking on google for diagrams at the moment to find out what these wires are .

With an airbag light on then it's best to read the airbag fault codes to point you in the right area. Almost anything in the airbag circuit including the airbag ecu itself could initiate the airbag fault warning. What made you believe it is the comm unit at fault?

had these problems, airbag light on and horn not working, thought comms straight away as it broke on my last one.
looked into it abit more and found airbag light was because the connector on my seat (to the airbag) had broke, you couldnt tell by just looking i had to pull it apart
horn was not working because a wire to the horn had broke, looked like a stone had flicked up and sliced it, i believe deadeyepaul had the same issue
when you press your horn can you hear the relay click under the bonnet? if so your comms is fine
also have you changed the fuse?

Noob mistake I forgot there was more than one airbag fault code. I will get it plugged in when I can.
I do not think its the comms because of the voltages on the wires mentioned above.
I do not have airbag plugs under the seat as mine does not have side airbags.
The horn is not reading 12v at the plug, Iforget if the relay clicks or not; I think it does not need to double check. All the fuses were visually inspected and I tested the horn fuse.

You need to consider the whole airbag system, seat belt pretensioners, pass airbag if you have one and even the pass air bag on/off switch, seat belt fastened yes/no sensors and more, depending on what SRS options your have. That's why narrowing the field with reading airbag code will help
For the horn, go for the easy one first, have you checked for power at the horn itself?

I dont remember my horn ever being broken news to me!
My reverse light was broken once and wouldnt light when gear was engaged but thats an entirely different problem

Thanks again for the info, I should have enough info for another attempt when I get chance. I just need top get hold of my mates portable reader as the car is SORN'ed atm.
I am not getting any power at the horn, I had someone press the horn for me while i tested the wires. The horn itself does work.

I am attacking the problem once again. I have not had a chance to do anything recently as my Hilux is suffering from cylinder head issues. Ironically the engine seems to be made of French cheese.
Airbag memory:
Ignition circuit, driver-side airbag, stage 1
Open circuit
Ignition circuit, driver-side airbag, stage 2
Open circuit
Any ideas people? Its not put any light on the situation for me.

stage 1 is pre tensioners and stage 2 is the airbag on the wheel itself
open circuit means broken wire, bad or no connection

Do not use ohm or volt meter on air bag circuit wiring unless you have airbag removed as internal voltage from meter can ignite the airbag
I'm no peugeot expert so im basing this on VW/Audi know how so open to correction
since you have horn issue and driver airbag fault id suspect you have issue with coil connector/Slip Ring (not sure if peugeot have diff name on it) on steering wheel
In most modern cars drivers airbag has 2 stages of ignition/firing 'stage 1& 2' this allows for 'softer' deployment of air bag
