I was told by a work mate today my car sounded rattley/Tinny as i drove passed him and he added it smelled like it was burning oil.
But i can't hear any difference from when i got it and i use it daily and can't smell anything either other than the normal engine fume smell. now i'm in two minds if i have a possible issue or there winding me up.
i've pushed the car a few times and heard no rattley or tinney sounds. it's running ok no loss of power or anything.

Could it be something to do with your car being a diesel, that he smells it when you drove 'passed' him?
