I've searched as much as I can but can't find anything similar.
Our car will run and start perfectly ok but when she gets to full running temperature and you ask for a little more power the engine dies all of a sudden.
If you stop and wait 10secs it'll start and run again, providing you're gentle with the throttle she'll keep going.
After 3 - 4 starts the engine light goes out and she's ok for a few days then we go through the cycle again.
It's as if some one has turned the ignition off.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi Peeps,
After reading a few post, well quite a lot really, I gleaned enough info to solve the problem.
It was nothing to do with engine temperature but time running, I notice minute air bubbles in the fuel return pipe but were was the air getting in.
It turned out to be the infamous pipe under the air box. I fitted a new section of pipe re-routing it, it's no longer under the box but runs close to the firewall.
So thanks to all the members for posting problems.
