Hello,
Yesterday after I'd been driving for about an hour when I was stopped at junctions it was very difficult to go into 1st gear, I really had to force the gear stick. 1st and 2nd were really hard but above that it was easier. At several points I could not put her into first at all and had to pull off in 2nd. Any ideas what this could be, someone has mentioned gearbox oil. I have a 206, 1.1, 2002
Thanks very much,
Caroline

try putting it into reverse, might be your clutch is going or might need adjusting, although the peugeot gearboxs are known for blowing the diffs, and oil patches underneath the car?

First signs of my gearbox going was it was really stiff to get into gear, especially into 5th, and down changing after long stints in the same gear.
