Hi All,
I seem to have an issue with the rear wiper on my 2005 GTI.
It starts ok, but seems to have trouble stopping!
I can hear a click from under the dash when it reaches it's 'park' position, but it just carries on and eventually stops somewhere random (which can take a few minutes!).
It also came on by itself once when I unlocked the doors!
Any ideas?
Ta,

Check the wiring loom where it goes in to the tailgate in case there is a short circuit.
Reboot the BSI unit.

I've checked the wiring and can't see any damage.
Is it still worth doing a reboot?
When it tries to park and fails it sounds like the relay does a double click.
