My gearbox is knackered so I'm buying a new one, however need a hand to install it.. I know it's an odd thing to ask but I was wondering if anyone has experience of fitting gearboxes and could help me out?
I'm pretty tight up at the moment so don't want to go to a mechanic and figure there's a decent amount of people on here with years of experience working on 206's. I'm not going to say it's a paid job, but I'm sure we can discuss that

well I'm not sure how long it would take.. I'm willing to help out / be a set of hands but I've not really ventured into the bonnet other than for simple maintenance. I'm also not sure how much a mechanic would charge.. I was going to look into it on Monday but I know it'll be pretty labour intensive.
If someone named a price I'de say yes or no but I don't really want to name a price and either sound like a complete ass by well under valuing the job.. or on the other side of the coin going way over board!

for a top class mechanic who works on MA box before it will takes no less than 4 hours; ideally under 6 hours is pretty good i think...
it involve a lot of work...

yeh I was thinking around 5-6 hour job.. but only judging by reading up online. If I had the equipment I'de give it a go but having recently moved to Manchester and living in an apartment I've got nothing but maybe a pair of pliers and a screwdriver.. and unfortunately I'm not Macgyver.
