In preperation for this years show season I decided that the car was in need of a new set of shoes, luckily a mate of mine had a set I was looking at and even better, he decided he didn't want them on his 206, so £300 later and I got myself a set of second-hand 207 Gti pitlane alloys, the only issue I did have, was the tyres were the wrong offset, so another £240 later and they were wrapped in fresh rubber.
So after a week of sitting in the car and having the wknd off I did plan on fitting them, however, the weather had other ideas, luckily there was a break in the weather and I thought sod it, the rear 2 wheels weren't too bad to undo the bolts but the front's were a b***h, not only did I have to drive onto some planks of wood to get enough clearance for the jack (seriously didn't think it was that low ), I had to use the pole from an old patio umbrella to get some extra leverage.
Now debating if the car actually needs the sp arches or not, still got some ap coilovers to fit so we shall have to wait and see

What's the weight difference between the two if you know? Was under the impression the Vortex's are slightly lighter?

I'd already seen them on Tony Jarvis's HDI and liked them but wasn't sure until they were fitted how they would look on mine, being black, but absolutely love them!!

They just look like a slightly bigger Nimrod from a distance.

Just one random question. What plug did you use for your rear wiper hole?
